Lead Pastors

In July of 2016, while pastoring in Oklahoma City, God gave us a dream of starting a church in Wisconsin. We didn’t know exactly where that would be, but we started to pray. This led us to move and serve at a new church in Brookfield in Spring of 2017. We continued to pray about where God would have us go. Through our proximity to Milwaukee, God started to break our hearts for the inner city. We moved into Milwaukee, and quickly fell in love with it. We fell in love with its people, its culture, and we know God has so much in store for the “Good Land”. Along with our three children, we’re excited to serve and love this city through our church.

We are excited to build a community of people who love and serve this city, and each other. We want to help you find your God-given purpose!

Our Vision

"Good Land Church exists to bring people into community and purpose through Jesus."

Our Values

Our core values simplified are Love God and Love Others.

"Love is the action of laying down one's life for another. We prioritize outreach in our community and throughout the world. We value meaningful, authentic, intentional relationships with Christ followers, to spur us on towards greater trust in God. We are sacrificially generous towards God and his people, because it's all His. We celebrate God’s goodness through worship and through fun. We live and lead with integrity every day of the week. We work hard and are sincere and honest. We care. We are friendly, genuinely welcoming, and humble, putting others above ourselves. We trust in Christ and the power of God’s presence, through the Holy Spirit to do what we cannot do on our own. We see all people as valuable to God. We believe God has given us a responsibility to pass on his love and freedom to the next generation."

We are committed to sound Biblical theology.

Even though our methods and worship styles may be progressive, our doctrines are as traditional as they come. Below you’ll find our statement to be quite similar to the vast majority of evangelical churches. And even though we are a contemporary and non-denominational church, we belong to many large and notable evangelical organizations such as the Association of Related Churches and the Assemblies of God. So below is a list of a few essentials.

Holy Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. The Bible, in its original writing, is both inspired and inerrant. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, the Second Person of the Trinity. Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. (John 1:1 & 14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Php.2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5)

We are saved by grace (which is undeserved and unearned) through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22)

Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ. Through repentance we individually receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation. (Acts 2:38, 3:19) “CHRIST INDWELLS IN ALL BELIEVERS” A Christian is a person who has invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come and live inside him by the Holy Spirit. He is putting his trust in what Christ accomplished for him when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead. (John 1:12, 14:17, 23, 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20)

The Church

The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Christ’s great commission. Every person who is born of the spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23)

Water Baptism

After receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Lord. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)

The Lord's Supper

The Lord’s Supper is a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and wine (or grape juice), expressing in some spiritual way the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, are taken by believers in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. (I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25; Matthew 26:26-28)
